Six Sentence Sunday is sadly coming to an end so this is my last official post. I've met so many wonderful people here, have found a lot of great new authors and think I've become a better writer, trying to pack a punch in just six sentences. To all the friends I've met, I know we'll continue to keep in touch on twitter and facebook! To the admins, thank you!!! It's been a helluva ride.
This bit is from Threads of Desire which just released this week. It's a secondary-world fantasy romance about a down-on-her luck mage and the handsome, arrogant aristo who makes her an offer she can't refuse. This is Kal beginning to suspect he's become trapped in his own web.
The sharp, sweet
scent of the fruit reminded him of Ily, spread on his table. The oranges
shaking from their bowl and rolling to the floor. The twilight reminded him of
Ily because he usually waited for the first star to appear before seeking her
out, knowing that she’d be finishing her work then. The crystalline sound of
the fountain, Ily straddling him in their bath.
He could still
turn around.
But if he stayed, it would only be to wander the
halls.

Congrats on your new release! He definitely has it bad for her. Guess he's going to have to do something about it. :)
Sounds like he done got bit by the love bug, poor boy. Congratulations again, Eleri! May it sell like crazy.
Congratulations on your book release and good luck with it :)
Kal certainly has it bad for Ily, doesn't he? I love the way everything reminds him of her and the way you were able to make a moment of introspection sensual, even though they aren't together.
Lovely. :)

I read this story in one setting and was spellbound by its erotic poetry. I've thought about it all week. Great writing.
